BCSA would like to collate data from Members to ascertain whether or not there is a high level of self-employment, and if not, the data will enable the Members to demonstrate to the industry that high levels of direct employment already exist.
Can we please ask if you are able to give an estimate as to how many or your employees are self-employed? This does not mean where you may sub-contract the work to another specialist contractor but does mean how many of that contractors’ employees are not direct workers and may only be employed as and when the work is available.
Any responses to the attached MOM would be appreciated by Friday 3rd December please.
