Further to AMM 137-17, the Building Research Establishment (BRE) has announced the first results from its large scale ‘systems tests’, assessing the fire safety of whole buildings. The first fire test was a wall cladding system consisting of ACM with polyethylene filler (Category 3) and foam insulation, with fire breaks and cavity barriers in place. This AMM gives the results of this fire test together with the Government’s Expert Panel’s advice. A number of reports, a press statement, advice to owners and landlords and an interim review of building regulations have been issued and this AMM lists these reports and provides links to where the reports/advice etc can be obtained.
